Why “Passion” is Important (with Steve Jobs’ Words) 

Steve Jobs said that he was lucky to find his passion at a very young age because, no matter how many times he failed, he kept doing what he loved. We can't maintain that resilience and perseverance unless it's our passion that we're following. Simply because he kept on trying, following his passion, his success was inevitable.

That’s why he also said, 'If you haven’t found your passion yet, keep on trying until you find it.' He emphasized this because he knew the power we gain by following our passion. Only the sky becomes the limit for our growth when we follow our passion.

3 Questions to Ask Yourself to Find Your Passion

I was able to find my passion only at the age of 35. If anyone asks me what I regret in my life, it's “not finding my passion at a younger age”. Because if I had known it, I could have developed myself better and achieved financial freedom much earlier in life. 

1. What do you love to do the most in life that makes you happy? (Think about skills).

2. For what matters do your friends come to seek your help? 

3. For what matters, have you received excellent feedback from people around you? 

ChatGPT cannot help you in this. You must sit down and think about these yourself.

Here’s a tip to answer the 2nd question above. 

Go ask the genuine friends of yours, what do they think you are good at. I repeat “ask your genuine friends only” who actually wants to help you.

When I asked one of my friends, she said “You’re good at writing” even without taking a second to think. 

I was like “Really! I am”? 😳

She said, “Yeah, I love reading what you write, your writing style. It’s unique and fun”. 

(“Yeah! That sounds like me”. 😀 You know, even now she is reading this and this is for her, “Hi 👋😀”) 

Additionally, ask this question yourself;

What tasks make you feel bored and frustrated? 

Find the answer to this if you have time and make sure to avoid doing it, because we need to live happily in this short lifetime instead of suffering doing what we hate. 

5 Steps to Transform Your Passion into a “Non-stop Income Stream” to Gain Financial Freedom

This was the next big struggle I went through after figuring out my passion. How am I supposed to earn from it? What should I do, what should be my income streams? 

You need to use your creativity here and also your network. At the same time if you have money saved, then this is when you’ll need it to invest in yourself, your business and processes to automate and outsource things. But don’t worry, if you don’t have any money left, then start by doing everything yourself and gradually invest, automate and outsource things. 

However, keep in mind that investing in yourself to improve is more important than investing in anything else.

Here are the 5 Steps to transform your passion into income. 

1. What can I do with my passion? 

These are your income streams. 

Tips:

• When you identify these, start with only 1 first. That one thing has to be the easiest thing you can do with a lesser time, but which brings the best outcome which makes you the expert in your area of expertise. It also should be within your budget if you require any money. 

• Try doing that 1 easy thing for free as a start. When I started writing, I volunteered as the Chief Editor for a NGO; for their monthly magazine. This was a coincidence for me, never a strategic decision. After my friend’s confirmation, writing for this magazine made me verify that I am actually good at writing, because I received great positive feedback from many professionals and even international authors during this time. I gained a lot of self-confidence from this and then only I realized I can transform this passion to an income stream. 

I know some creators and founders who provided their services for free as a way to help others at the beginning and used word of mouth and testimonials to grow an entire business. So, giving things away for free initially is a great way to start. Dream Big, Start Small! 😀

2. Who are the other people doing it successfully? 

These are your competitors and role models to follow. 

Study them, learn from them, make them and their work your benchmarks to accomplish and provide high quality product/ service for your target audience/ market.

3. Are people willing to pay for it?

This shows that your passion has a demand or not. If you can find a good number of successful competitors, that means it has a demand. So, now find a way to stand out in the crowd with your unique values, personality, style etc. 

4. What price do others charge to provide a similar product/ service? 

These are your pricing strategies for different income streams you identified. When I did my study on this, I was motivated and determined to reach my goals even more, because I realized that I can easily gain financial freedom and I never have to worry about looking for jobs or losing the job working for others suffering daily. 🙂
